We were surprised by the beauty of Slovenia and by chance discovered a beautifully located campsite, so we wanted to make a campsite tip in Slovenia Camp Bohinj for you.
The Camp Bohinj campsite is located in the Triglav National Park directly on the beautiful Lake Bohinj.
There are various pitches for motorhomes, campers or caravans and tents.
We were able to park our lower camper in the first row, right by the lake, and enjoy the great view of the mountains and Lake Bohinj. There are also many opportunities to park the camper in the shade under trees.
There is a lot on offer for sports enthusiasts. All kinds of water sports such as SUP, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and much more can be done on the lake and if required you can even rent the sports equipment on site at the campsite. But for adrenaline junkies there are not only water activities, but also offers such as rock climbing, horse riding, cave hiking, paragliding, skydiving, ziplines and much more. If you want to take it a little easier on your camping holiday, you can of course also lie comfortably by the water and just enjoy the sun.
For all hiking enthusiasts, there are many beautiful hiking routes through the national park or the possibility to climb a mountain by cable car.
The Camp Bohinj campsite is especially ideal for camping trips as a family with children, as in addition to the various activities, they are also very family-friendly and offer several great playgrounds and climbing gardens for children.
If you don't feel like having an evening barbecue in front of your camper or just want to be surprised by Slovenia's culinary delights, the campsite also has a restaurant.

Conclusion
Because the campsite is located in a national park, the operators have to adhere to strict rules, so there are no pitches or advertised pitches.
That was also the only drawback for us, that the campsite was quite full, especially on weekends, and the campers were sometimes standing close together because there were no advertised pitches.
All in all, we were very impressed by the landscape and felt very comfortable in this place.
