For all campers who plan to go on a camping holiday next year, the vignettes for 2024 for Austria and Switzerland are available and can already be used (since December 1, 2023). Here is the most important information about the prices.
Vignette for Austria
The vignette prices for Austria have risen sharply, particularly for the 10-day vignette, to 11.50 euros (17% price increase). The newly introduced 1-day vignette costs 8.60 euros and is already available on the ADAC toll portal. Compared to last year, the annual vignette remains stable at 96.40 euros and the 2-month vignette is even 10 cents cheaper at 28.90 euros.
Vignette for Switzerland
Every car and therefore camper up to 3.5 tonnes requires an annual vignette in Switzerland. The price for the annual vignette in Switzerland remains unchanged at 40 francs, which corresponds to approximately 44 euros.
If you own a vehicle or motorhome over 3.5 tonnes, you must pay a heavy goods vehicle tax to customs when entering Switzerland.
In addition, there are toll tunnels and charging stations.
Vignette for Slovenia
In Slovenia, every vehicle up to 3.5 tons requires a valid e-vignette for toll roads. It is only available digitally. Here, the vehicles are divided into three categories: motorcycles, cars with an axle height of <1.3m and vans <3.5 tons and an axle height of >1.3m. The latter also includes a Volkswagen California, Fiat Ducato or a Ford Transit.
Campers can choose from a weekly vignette for €32, a monthly vignette for €64.10 and an annual vignette for €235.
As long as the vignette has not been redeemed and the camping holiday is postponed, the start of validity can be changed. For vignettes that are valid immediately, the date can no longer be changed.
Important! The weekly vignette is valid for 7 days. This means that if you are on a short holiday from Sunday to Sunday, for example, the vignette is not sufficient (in this case it would be 8 days).
