Caravan renovation by Jolina: A cozy, detailed and modern glamping makeover - Edition 4
Immerse yourself in the fascinating story of Jolina, a 21-year-old adventurer from near Dortmund. Amid the challenges of the Covid period, which has turned our lives upside down, an inspiring caravan renovation story unfolds.
Young people in particular, who should actually be socializing in their prime, were faced with unexpected challenges during this time. Many decided to do projects at home to make good use of their time. This is exactly where Jolina discovered her passion for caravan renovation as a personal project.
Her love of camping began in childhood, and at the age of 18 in 2020, she fulfilled her dream of owning her own cozy caravan. The journey began during her high school graduation in lockdown , when she gave her 1993 Dethleffs "RM3" an exciting caravan renovation.
Long before she owned the caravan or decided on the exact model, Jolina immersed herself in the world of inspiration and materials. With almost a complete plan in mind, she became the proud owner of a caravan. Pinterest and caravan accounts on Instagram served as a source of inspiration, but some of the most exciting ideas came about spontaneously during the renovation.
Creative and ingenious ideas during caravan renovation
In terms of creative design, Jolina implemented some great ideas in her caravan renovation.
The creative ideas not only reflect your personal style but also add a touch of modernity to the interior.
The seat cushions were designed in a particularly imaginative way, with Jolina sewing covers from a bedspread that can also be found in the bed area. This design not only allows the covers to be easily removed for washing, but also harmonizes perfectly with the other elements in the caravan.
Jolina paid particular attention to the bathroom, which was completely redesigned. The old plastic bath was replaced by a self-made vanity unit made of shelves and bookshelves. New electrics and a pump provide a modern touch and complete the renovation.
The walls are kept in bright white and a freestanding, modern sink sets a clean and contemporary accent.
The washbasin in the camping bathroom was given a completely new coat of paint and now has a subtle grey stone look, which brings a subtle rustic touch. Small highlights were set with gold accents , including the faucet, toilet paper holder, soap dispenser and towel hook.
A particularly beautiful detail is the golden lamp that completes the overall picture. The entire design is evidence of a detailed and loving caravan renovation that gives the bathroom in the caravan a contemporary and appealing atmosphere.
The colour concept & must-dos
The caravan celebrates an appealing color concept of beige, white and gray , which is harmoniously expressed not only in the interior but also, since last year, in the exterior paintwork . This well-thought-out color palette gives the entire room a timeless and aesthetic character that appears stylish and harmonious.
During further caravan renovations, Jolina would always completely rework the entire plastic bathroom. She would not only replace the bathroom, but also add the necessary aesthetics and modernity by giving the caravan a fresh coat of paint both inside and outside.
In fact, Jolina is currently in the middle of her second caravan renovation . With the same love and creativity, she hopes to soon create a cozy and modern caravan.

Favorite campsite
“Camping Lido” in Lazise on Lake Garda was my highlight so far.
Further wishes
Regarding a possible wish for the caravan, Jolina would choose a " mover ". With this caravan equipment she would be able to act more independently on solo trips and would not constantly have to rely on the help of others, although campers are usually always happy to help.
For her current caravan, the shatterproof wine glasses from Wildnest Glamping are still on her wish list.
